N2 - The following research work has the objective to diagnose the current state of the significant learning of Microeconomics in university students in the virtual mode, as well as teaching competences in university professors. It is a mixed approach educational research of explanatory scope. The study sample consisted of 50 students and 20 teachers from a private university in Lima. Four instruments were applied (survey, interview, pedagogical test, and observation). The results show limitations in teaching skills related to traditional and reproductive didactic forms, as well as insufficient use of digital tools that support learning. This negatively influences the meaningful learning of the students, so it is concluded, recognizing the need to dynamize virtual education from elements that guarantee the motivation, interaction and reflection between the educational actors that participate in the virtual learning environments.
