Resumen

Nowadays, the business sector is becoming increasingly competitive due to quality standards. Therefore, the objective is to establish a new quality management model to improve the productivity of companies in the manufacturing sector in Cañete, Peru. The research is applied, with a quantitative approach and a non-experimental, correlational-causal design. A questionnaire on quality and productivity management was administered to 80 employees of a manufacturing company in Cañete, with a Cronbach’s alpha reliability of 0.842. The results show that 43.7% of the workers indicate that the commitment of the people in their company is medium, 46.3% indicate that the focus on processes is medium and 40% indicate that the continuous improvement of their company is medium. These results show that companies should seek a new organisational culture with employees committed to improving productivity levels, satisfying customers in a cost-effective way and meeting short and long-term needs.
