Resumen

The university as a complex organization requires managers who can accompany the various academic and administrative processes in an integral, humanistic and scientific way, despite this, there have not been managers who, in addition to assuming said procedures, manage to articulate all the various knowledge and experiences that their collaborators have for the benefit of management. In this sense, consilience is presented as an alternative that contributes to developing a university management that integrates the multiple knowledge of both science and people, that from an intercultural and inter and transdisciplinary dialogue designs tools and methods to solve problems and create conditions. conducive to respect and consensus of ideas. For this, the objective is to analyze consilience as an epistemic proposal for university management, which through the hermeneutic methodology can interpret the various theoretical aspects that consilience has for the educational manager, in terms of its proposal to integrate various knowledge. disciplines for the success of management. Finally, it is concluded about the importance of considering consilience as a key aspect to devise a type of management that, from a consilient thinking, can develop intelligent, quality and efficient management for university organizations.
