Resumen
The objective of this study was to identify the relationship between cultural identity and teaching performance in educational institutions of Andahuaylas, Peru. The focus was quantitative with a descriptive-correlational design. Two questionnaires were prepared for a sample of 138 teachers at the secondary level. The results of research have reported the existence of a statistically significant positive relationship (rho = 0,847) between the variable cultural identity and educational performance (p - value = 0.000 <0.05) at 5% of bilateral significance, demonstrating the results that can be generalized. It is conclude that the cultural identity of teachers is inadequate and their performance is basic.
