Resumen
The present study provides an approach to the narrative of writer Óscar Colchado Lucio, who is considered a key figure in renewing Peruvian children’s literature because he incorporates ancestral traditions and beliefs into his stories. At the core of his literary exploration is the Peruvian child, specifically the Andean child, known as «Cholito». Through this character and other literary resources, Colchado seeks to portray the worldview of the Andean population. This saga, which has been and continues to be very successful, is composed of fifteen stories that form the object of this study. For our analysis, we have selected the story «Cholito tras las huellas de Lucero» (2007) to explore how metaphor shapes the representation of reality. The study applies an analytical model grounded in rhetorical theory (Arduini, 2000), the theories of metaphor (Lakoff & Turner, 1989; González García, 2017; Lakoff & Johnson, 2022), complemented by the interpretative framework of analogical hermeneutics proposed by Beuchot (2009).
