Resumen
The measurement of the psychological aspects linked to entrepreneurship is fundamental due to the importance that this construct represents as a source of innovation, productivity, and development for societies. Therefore, from psychology, approaches have been developed that integrate cognitive, affective, and attitudinal characteristics that converge in the recent concept of the enterprising personality. The aim of this study was to perform a psychometric analysis of the Battery for the Evaluation of Enterprising Personality (BEPE; Muñiz et al., 2014) for the Peruvian context. A total of 719 adults participated (57.2% female, 46.0% working, Mage=24.74; SDage=6.91). The internal structure of the BEPE was investigated using factor analysis. The results in relation to the internal structure showed that the proposed oblique model did not present favorable evidence, although an individual analysis of each dimension showed that some presented adequate structural indicators. The findings are discussed considering the complexity of the concept of enterprising personality and its manifestations and the necessary development of social, economic, and political context instruments.
