N2 - Automatizing different works to save money has evolved into a need to cover labor shortages, improved yield, and reach places where humans cannot. However, agricultural advances are in constant development due to huge production to cover people's needs plus the fact that diversity of crop species, difficulting in the elaboration of a machine for any case, and the feature to work steadily on large surfaces. Thus, many robots are being designed depending on the challenges of a specific crop at the same time that is designed to have autonomy working with rechargeable energy supply to reduce contamination. For those reasons, the research line of Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) in the Division of Biomechatronics and Life Support Systems at the Center of Space Emerging Technologies (C-SET) worked in collaboration with the Department of Mechatronics Engineering of the Corporacion Universitaria del Huila, to develop technical literature micro-review of land-based robots has been done to highlight the possibilities of creating practical solutions to farmers recurrent tasks aiming for future space agriculture applications. In addition, some proposals are mentioned where could be possible to adapt some main features of the farming robots besides the different designs from the researchers. This review is pretended to be taken as inspiration to explore further the viable applications of robots in many fields. In conclusion, it is necessary the analysis of current projects to arrive at an efficient result for human ordeals like starvation, improving the tools to multiply the production even outside the earth.
