Abstract

Intensive care centers are the units where patients who need exclusive care for their recovery are located, whose lives depend on medical equipment, which provides oxygen to keep patients alive, because they cannot breathe for themselves. Their own means. For the care of these patients, there are special places, special nurses and special equipment, which ensure the continuity of life of the patients who are hospitalized. This research work presents a low-cost system for monitoring these intensive care centers, through the use of cameras and an embedded computing system that has the power to analyze up to 6 cameras for each unit, as well as a graphic processor. In order to analyze the videos, and to be able to provide help to the nurses who are caring, the intention is that the patient is monitored, when he makes a movement he can activate an alarm, so the nurse can come to his care.
