Abstract

The present article is an analysis of the symbolist poetics in Jose Maria Eguren's poetry based on his book La canción de las figuras. Though his poetry relates to some characteristics of the French symbolist poetics, also there are important differences. The interpretation of poems "La niña de la lámpara azul", "El caballo" and "Peregrín, cazador de figuras", of book alluded, explains that his symbolic figures create an original and innovator universe whose semantic axis are dream, death and night.
