Abstract
History as a process and historiography has favored emphasizing male roles while avoiding female participation in a series of events and processes that have shaped the history of Peru. The central idea of this research is to document the female presence at the dawn of the independence process from a series of war donations in favor of the royalist cause in its fight against the revolutionaries. The Fidelista newspapers Minerva Peruana and the Government Gazette of Lima have been used as sources.
