Abstract

The purpose of this research is to promote the conception of an environmental culture in society, supported by the right to sustainable development. This is based on the fact that, from the principle of dignity of the human person, sustainable development pursues for a society the improvement of an environmental culture of the people, ensuring their demands for justice, around a balanced and adequate environment for the present and future generations. Thus, this concept will be related to the concept of Civic Humanism and to what was stated by the Constitutional Court who has embraced sustainable development to emphasize the protection of a right to an adequate and balanced environment for society.
